Sony has updated its midrange Xperia 10 for 2024 with the introduction of the Mark VI. In many respects, Sony has retained the successful formula: a compact device with a distinctive aspect ratio that becomes endearing once you get used to it.
Physically, the Xperia 10 VI is nearly identical to its predecessor, the Xperia 10 V. It maintains the same dimensions, though it has gained a few grams, now weighing in at 164 grams. Despite this slight increase, it remains remarkably lightweight. The Xperia 10 VI continues to feature Sony’s signature quirky proportions, with its slender and tall 21:9 display, a hallmark of the Xperia series.

As for the phone’s body, Sony continues to use plastic for the construction of the Xperia 10 VI but now states that over 50% of the plastic parts are made from recycled or environmentally friendly materials. The front is still covered with Gorilla Glass Victus, and the device retains its IP65/68 ingress protection rating.
On a more positive note, Sony has moved beyond the Snapdragon 695, which was used in both the Xperia 10 V and Xperia 10 IV. The Xperia 10 VI is equipped with the more modern Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 mobile platform. Additionally, the RAM has been increased from 6GB to 8GB in the single 128GB model available.
