Despite being made locally, the prices of the foldables are not reduced compared to their predecessors.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 prices in India were announced after debuting in South Korea on July 26th. The new foldables come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, which should offer premium performance. While announcing the prices in India, the company confirmed the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Z Fold 5 units sold in India will be assembled locally.

While Samsung has its biggest smartphone factory in Noida, the foldable phones were never made locally. But that changes now.
