The upcoming vivo X100 series is set to make its debut later this month, and in the lead-up to its launch, several leaks have given us a glimpse of what to expect. However, until now, there have been no sightings of an actual vivo X100 in the real world. That is, until a Weibo user recently shared a live image of what appears to be the back of an X100.
The device in the image sports a light blue color, consistent with what we’ve previously seen in leaked renders. However, the distinctive, shimmering concentric pattern isn’t as prominent as the renders might have led us to believe. Nevertheless, the undulating forms of the back glass appear to align with the earlier renderings.
The camera island looks quite as anticipated, with one notable exception: there’s a noticeable ring around one of the cameras, presumably encircling the main sensor. However, it’s worth considering that this might be a result of a reflection, as the renders did not depict any such ring around either camera.
Fortunately, our curiosity won’t linger for too much longer, as the X100 series is scheduled to make its official debut on November 13.
The highly anticipated Vivo X100 series is slated for a launch in China on November 13. This series is expected to assume the mantle as Vivo’s leading flagship lineup, succeeding the Vivo X90 series. Much like its predecessors, the Vivo X100 is rumored to comprise three models: the base Vivo X100, Vivo X100 Pro, and Vivo X100 Pro+. While several key details about these smartphones have been previously hinted at, a recent report claims to provide a comprehensive set of specifications for the standard Vivo X100 model.
As reported by 91Mobiles, the Vivo X100 is likely to be available in four storage configurations: 12GB + 256GB, 16GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB. The starting price for the phone is expected to be around CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 45,600). Consumers can anticipate color options in Black, Blue, Orange, and White. It’s worth noting that the Vivo X90 made its debut at a price of CNY 3,699 (approximately Rs. 42,000) for its 8GB + 128GB variant.
The forthcoming Vivo X100 is rumored to feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display boasting a resolution of 2,800 x 1,260 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering the phone is a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC, complemented by LPDDR5T RAM and UFS 4.0 internal storage, according to the report. Furthermore, it is said to run on OriginOS 4, based on Android 14.
In terms of its camera setup, the Vivo X100 is anticipated to feature a triple rear camera configuration. This setup is expected to include a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.6, a second 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with OIS support and an f/2.0 focal length, and a third 64-megapixel periscope shooter equipped with 3x optical zoom, an f/2.6 aperture, and a remarkable 100x digital zoom capability. Additionally, it is likely that the camera module will incorporate a laser focus system. On the front, the phone is anticipated to sport a 32-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.
The standard Vivo X100 model is also rumored to be equipped with a robust 5,000mAh battery, complemented by 120W wired fast charging support. In terms of connectivity options, the phone is expected to offer Bluetooth 5.4, an IR sensor, WiFi 7, and NFC functionality. Furthermore, the report suggests that this upcoming Vivo flagship model may include India’s native satellite navigation system, NavIC. The device is estimated to weigh 205 grams and have dimensions of 164mm x 75.2mm x 8.5mm.
